Hi Horse Records is proud to present the first in a projected series of unreleased tracks from the same sources: Blue 88s is an amazing collection of piano blues recorded between 1938-1942 for the Columbia and Okeh labels. 15 of the 17 tracks are previously unreleased gems that showcase some of the premier blues pianists and vocalists of the era: Curtis Jones, Roosevelt Sykes, Willie "Boodle It" Right and Poor Boy Burke. Includes a 20 page booklet with a detailed essay by Mark Humphrey on the history and popularity of the piano, and blues pianists in particular, plus the lyrics to all the songs. The legendary Roosevelt Sykes a.k.a. "The Honeydripper" is represented on this compilation with 12 tracks, 10 of them previously unissued while Curtis Jones and Poor Boy Burke have 2 each while Willie "Boodle It" Right has 1. Nice so far.

Comfy. They were tight the first day across the toes but as I've worn them a couple times they are loosening up. The sole is forming to my foot. These are very much like Doc Martin's from the early 2000s. Not sure about quality since I haven't had them for very long.

They are cute but they have a bit of an odd fit that isn’t great for people with narrow feet. They look too dressy to wear with super casual outfits in my opinion. I think the Ugg golden star sandals are much comfier. If you’re wearing these sandals for a really short time they’d be okay. After wearing them around my house for a little while I decided to return them since they started to hurt my feet.
