These photographs, many never-before-published, are from various local archives as well as images from family collections, handed down from generation to generation, capturing our African American heritage. The images in this book cover all walks of life, including business, churches, downtown Winchester, families, local history, military, organizations, schools, athletics, and more. The book features some of the countyÕs more prominent black businesses, churches, organizations and people.
